100% is not @ all possible in Automation.

You can achieve only 50 to 60% in Automation and rest go with Functional Testing.

We can increase our coverage by running automated tests with verity of data, verity of configurations, covering a whole variety of operating systems, browsers, but achieving 100% automation is still not possible.

When we talk about the test automation, huge amount of tests do not  mean better quality or better confidence. Everything depends on how good a test is designed. Instead of aiming for a 100% test automation coverage, need to focus on the most important area of functionality which is crucial to the business.

In Agile methodology, software testing services focus on automating the test cases for last sprint and performing manual execution for only new features. Once the feature attains necessary stability, then test use cases are automated for next sprint.
