I am facing an issue while monkey talk installation on 64 bit machine , I am using android 4.2 API

I follow the agent instillation process as mentioned in site...

1. unzip android bundle zip with eclipse

2. add aspectj plugin

3. import Demo1 sample project in to eclipse

4. add agent jar file in aspectj class path

5. then run emulator

6. compile the project and no errors in compilation

7. run the application, on emulator I can see app with login screen

8. Run monkey talk ide

9. Create a test project with test.mt script

10. Select 1st option from drop down list of Android Emulator/Tethred device

Now I am getting bellow errors on monkeytalk ide and not able to connect with my app emulator:

An internal error occurred during: "MonkeyTalk".
Error starting adb:
Cannot run program "D:\A": CreateProcess error=5, Access is denied

What I am doing wrong?

Hi Amit,

Please check your Android ADB path which needs to be set in MonkeyTalk -> this can be achieved by going into Help->Preferences->MonkeyTalk Preferences -> there check for the Correct ADB path for Android like for example -> /Users/gorillalogic/Downloads/adt-bundle-mac-x86_64-20130514/sdk - u need to provide the path till the platform tools of ADB & also check whether the adb in your system is working properly or not , this is not the monkeytalk issue , where all the above steps which you have mentioned is right u r doing ...try this & let me know..

Hi Amit,

find the below steps for monkeytalk installation first you check whether these steps r u completed r not.......

  1. You will need to install AspectJ to eclipse. Go to Help → “Install new software” → “In work with” here you copy and paste below url

Click on select all. All three boxes to be selected and click on next and accept the license agreement and            click on ok.

  1. Import a suitable code to test in eclipse, anything simple.

  2. Now right click on your project in Eclipse → configure → “Convert to AspectJ” nothing wiil happen exact some folder visible will change.

  3. Create a libs folder in the android project if none exists.

  4. Copy the monkey talk agent lib file folder F:\monkeytalk\agents\android(not only in F drive where you saved the monkeytalk folder) into libs folder.

  5. Update your AndroidManifest.xml the following two permissions

android.permission.INTERNET
android.permission.GET_TASKS

To do this open manifest.xml file and add the below two lines in the code

<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.GET_TASKS" />”

  1. Update the project properties right click on the project → Properties → Java Build Path, select Order and Export tab and check the check box next to the AspectJ Runtime Library to export it.

  2. Now right click on project → select Run → select Android Application, Run the project on emulator.
