In our another group ion Linkedin "Mobile Apps Testing(Mobile QA Zone)" similar discussion was initiated by some Mobile app tester.I found very good answer to this by Mr. Jothibasu Nagamalai I would like to bring the points ha has put in reply to quetion "what are the things to be tested while testing web application in mobile device?"
there are few thing in my mind . Functional Testing :(GPRS or WLAN or Bluetooth or Wifi ) 1.Http page 2.Https Page 3.Rss/Atom 4.Broken link 5.Copy and paste URL 6.Online steaming page (video or audio) 7.Different flasher player sites 8.Portal/Container web page 9.Different Error codes 10.Hyper links 11.Single sign on 12.web page which has more image / links /videos 13.Local web pages (configure own server ) 14.GUI checking (Position of image , logo ,Dialog ,Menu ,Information banner and etc ) 15.Maximum number of browser windows 16.check all the options in Menu , dialogs ,Tool bar 17.Copy and paste contents from browser to other application 18.single tap on multi tap on web content 19.Zooming web content 20.screen rotation (Portrait and landscape) 21.Opening embedded audio/video /image / attachement and check respective application is launching or not 22.cookies 23.Compatibility testing 24.Concurrency testing 25.session based testing 26.Launching browser shortcut (Ex:Click on web link in PDF documents / attachment from Email ) 27.Memory leakage 28.Frame per second(FPS) Testing 29.WAP testing
Non-Functional : 1.Response time for opening site , clicking on hyper link ,Dialog appears and dismissed 2.LPT(Long period testing ) 4.Maximum number of hits on web page(load testing) 5.Security testing 6.Stress testing
Anurag seems cover almost cases of mobile application testing. I would love to add two more things we need to consider when testing: Battery and Usability testing. Correct me if I am wrong.

Find all the automation and manual application testing available in the Market for your iPhone, iPad, Android, Tablet andWindows Mobile to solutions here:http://mobileappstesting.contussupport.com/
the list is really big and covers all the major types of testing that needs to be validated.
but i think, the list may vary based on the nature of the app being tested, i mean the domain of the app, its objective all those factors need to be taken into consideration Anurag Khode said:
